Hi, I’m Sean-Mykle.

I am an educator in the suburbs of Chicago, for a high needs middle school. I teach 7th grade Social Studies. I completed my Bachelor Degree at the University of Illinois – Springfield in History. I am currently working on my Masters in Teaching at the Relay Graduate School of Education.
I had tried to find my purpose in life for a long time prior to becoming an educator.
My Journey
Throughout elementary school and secondary school my family moved around a lot. I come from a single parent family and saw my mother chasing after opportunities to provide for my brother and I. I grew up in New Jersey until I was 14, when my mother, brother and I moved rural Missouri. I never felt supported academically, and I never was seen as a “good student”. The only reason I went to school after moving to Missouri was because I played sports. After High School I made the choice to join the military over attending community college.

From the military, to sales, to management, and now in teaching I have found myself using all the experiences in my life, to propel me in my career.
